Cinema Paradiso

New sketches from a film.
This time, Cinema Paradiso (1989), written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore.
The film won the Oscar and has fantastic sense of wonder.

A filmmaker recalls his childhood, when he fell in love with the movies at his village's theater (in Italy) and formed a deep friendship with the theater's projectionist.

Tornatore give us a story about life, friendship, and the magic of the movies.
Salvatore Cascio as little Toto, is intimate, and cute... and everlasting character.
Ennio Morricone's music is absolutly subtle and fantastic.
These are some fast-sketched shots with very interesting compositions, the film is incredible as a whole, with no particular risk about strange shots or complex scenes, but this simplicity makes it better.

Salvatore
: "Who said that? Gary Cooper? James Stewart? Henry Fonda? Eh?
"
