Illustration Friday REMOTE
This is my entry for Illustration Friday's challenge. Your comments are appreciated.
Finally an encouraging topic! Great.
It represents the ultimate toy-robot, enormous and remote control...
Looking at this "cute" baby, you can probably see the next tyrant in the world (sadly there will be another one, and another one...)
Every one plays with his LEGOs like he want.. but this one is some kind of military-brain-baby.
He looks proud and conceited with his toy! (Can you imagine a Lego figure sooo big?)
For the robot I've used a real Lego figure inspired in Peter Cushing's Grand Moff Tarkin character in Star Wars.
My first idea was to draw a really huge army of that figures, but once I did the big one, I thought that only one smiley robot will be more iconic.
The little bastard came from my mind.

I like the extreme perspective you used here, and the dramatic shadows! Lego hands just slay me.
Great use of light. I see your metaphor of a child in charge of great military strangely familiar with current events.
You and I think alike. I love how determined the little baby looks. Great illustration.
i like the forced perspective. good stuff.
and hehehe...what Tony said.
I try to paint like those guys but I am not that good yet. I have linked some of those guy's sites in my link of fame. Check them out.
I like your lego man concept. Good stuff. Keep it up.
Wonderful!!!! We were all cute little robot bastards - now big ones! The lighting is great and your digital plus art skills shine through your 'remote' entry this week!
Funny, ours our similar... but different too. Your's is superb... I love the painterly textures of the lego man. Very nice job.

Very nicely done. Love the textures, atmosphere and point of view.(the little bastard's kinda cute in a scary as hell kind of way)
There's nothing scarier than a rampaging Lego man! Great concept. I dig it!
Brilliant! You have a new fan, me:))
This is fantastic! I have really enjoyed your other pieces too.
Muy bonito, me encantan los contrastes de luz y los ambientes que logras en tus ilustraciones.
Oh my, that's one determined baby! Yikes, I must make sure to keep the remote away from my little one! Love the contrasting facial expressions of both figures - the raised brow and frown on the baby and the blank smile on the lego man. Golden. Your color choices are super. This is a unique and humorous take on the topic. I'm glad I stopped in.
Gracias por visitar mi blog. Tu ilustración sobre el tópico "remote" es muy original y las luces y sombras muy logradas.

This is great! I love the scale between the child and the robot, and you've really created a sense of movement with the robots feet.
Love the illustration, strikes me like the kid doesn't know what he's doing. Like your sketches too.
And thanks for the kind words for my remote illustration, the where's wally jumper must've have been subliminal, I wasn't thinking about it at the time. Once again great work.
Espectacular, muy buenas las sombras y la cara de perverso del chiquitín !

Hola rubio! Un placer descubrir tu blog. Muy buenos todos los dibujos. Los rostros del mes pasado ("33 faces" and "24 faces more" me han traumatizado, realmente buenos y con mucho gusto.
